This session offers the opportunity to hear from practitioners with lived experience of black kinship care and discusses using co-production with black kinship families to create better outcomes for care, support and services.

This two-day open course will provide practitioners and particularly those who may be new to undertaking, quality assuring or considering fostering assessments with an opportunity to develop knowledge, skills and practice in completing fostering assessments.

A new open course which aims to challenge your understanding of the meaning of diversity and intersectionality. This training will be a highly interactive exploration of equality, diversity and inclusion.

This two-day open course will provide practitioners and particularly those who may be new to undertaking, quality assuring or considering adoption assessments with an opportunity to develop knowledge, skills and practice in completing adoption assessments.

This course is aimed at social care professionals who are engaged in the assessment of prospective adoptive parents, foster carers and kinship carers and who wish to increase their awareness and confidence in considering gender issues in assessment, analysis and decision making.

In this session participants will gain insight into looking at the identity needs of Black and Global majority children and young people, and how they can become more anti-racist in their practice and when needing to place children and young people for permanence. There will be a Q&A session with an opportunity for attendees to put their questions.

The purpose of this open course is to give participants an opportunity to consider what good practice in assessing adult relationships is, exploring their own values and assumptions and to consider the importance of attachment styles; motivation; sex and sexuality; and loss and infertility.

Based on the very latest guidance and research, this workshop will explore the issues and dilemmas faced by decision makers in adoption and fostering agencies and provide useful templates for self-audit and future decision making.

This half day course is aimed at professionals who work with children and families who may benefit from a therapeutic intervention and would like to increase their understanding of different therapeutic approaches.
